Ο Αύγουστος θα βρει τη γειτονιά μας όπως πάντα. Ανοικτή σε κάθε μορφή κοινωνικής και πολιτικής δραστηριότητας και διαδικασίας. Θα τη βρει θωρακισμένη ενάντια στις επιθέσεις του κράτους, τις σκευωρίες και τις προβοκάτσιες.
Το κάλεσμα αυτό γίνεται με σκοπό να πλαισιωθεί η κοινότητα και η γειτονιά των Προσφυγικών, από αλληλέγγυους την περίοδο της κινηματικής ύφεσης του Αυγούστου, ώστε να υπάρχει μια διαρκής παρουσία από τον κόσμο του αγώνα.
Καλουμε σε διανυκτέρευση εντός της κοινότητας, ώστε σε περίπτωση κατασταλτικής επιχείρησης να υπάρχει, όσο το δυνατόν, μεγαλύτερο σώμα αλληλέγγυων που θα αναλάβει ρόλο υπεράσπισης της γειτονιάς.
Καλούμε τους συντρόφους τις συντρόφισσες και τα συντρόφια, τα αλληλέγγυα άτομα και ομάδες, τον αγωνιζόμενο κόσμο και γειτονιές να συμμετέχουν στο πρόγραμμα του Αυγούστου, στη Γειτονιά των Κατειλημμένων Προσφυγικών ως ένα οργανικό και ενεργό κομμάτι του αγώνα που δίνεται καθημερινά. Τόσο στις πολιτικές συναντήσεις, στα πολιτιστικά δρώμενα που θα οργανωθούν σε όλη την διάρκεια του μήνα, όσο και στην καθημερινή περιφρούρηση της κοινότητας και της γειτονιάς.
Οι συναντήσεις για τις ολονύκτιες περιφρουρήσεις θα γίνονται στην πλατεία της γειτονιάς (Κουζή & Βεγορίτιδος) στις 12 το βράδυ.

CALL FOR THE DEFENCE OF THE COMMUNITY OF SQUATTED PROSFIGIKA
CALL FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE AUGUST PROGRAM
The state not only does not take holidays, but during the summer months it attacks the socially acquired, the free and liberated spaces of struggle. Among the many examples, we can mention the expropriation of Exarchia by capital and repression, an operation that started in the summer of 2022, the evacuation of the Squatted free space “Votanikos” and the occupation of the park of Drakopoulou, this summer.
We are under no illusion that Prosfigika will be an exception to the plans of state repression. Bakoyiannis wants to serve the interests of his clients, big investors and corporations. The plan for the redevelopment of Prosfigika is part of the plan for the double redevelopment of Botanikos and Alexandras Avenue. The recent concession of the Prosifygika by the region to ANAPLASI A.E. automatically means the direct award of the project to a company of their choice without the planned competition.
August will find our neighbourhood as it always does. Open to all forms of social and political activities and processes. It will find it shielded against the attacks, the plots and the provocations of the state.
This call is made in order to surround the community and the Prosfigika neighborhood with solidarity during the period of the August recession, so that there is a constant presence of the people of struggle (even in unusual times for repressive operations), direct communication, mutual fermentation, and getting to know better the community and its structures.
More specifically we invite:
- to come to the cultural and political events listed in advance in the August program or to be announced urgently
- to stay overnight in the community, so that in the moment of a repressive operation, there will be solidarity body as large as possible to take on the role of defending the neighborhood,
- to support the community structures.
We call the comrades, individuals and groups, the struggling people and neighborhoods to participate in the August program in the Neighborhood of Squatted Prosfigika, as an organic and active part of the everyday struggle. Both in the political meetings, in the cultural events that will be organized throughout the month, and in the daily guarding of the community and the neighborhood.
The meetings for the overnight guarding will take place in the neighborhood square (Kouzi & Vegoritidos) at 12 o’clock in the evening.
