Κινητοποίηση πραγματοποιήθηκε στον κεντρικό σταθμό της Ουτρέχτης από τη συλλογικότητα Solidarity Assembly Utrecht (Έλληνες φοιτητές/ριες και εργαζόμενοi/ες που διαμένουν στην πόλη) σήμερα Παρασκευή 10/3, για το κρατικό/καπιταλιστικό έγκλημα στα Τέμπη που στοίχισε τη ζωή σε δεκάδες επιβαίνοντες. Μοιράστηκε κείμενο της ομάδας και ανοίχτηκε πανό. Η συλλογικότητα ήρθε σε επαφή με το συνδικάτο των εργαζόμενων στα ολλανδικά τρένα (FVP spoor). Αύριο Σάββατο 11/3, η συλλογικότητα reinform καλεί σε συγκέντρωση έξω από την Ελληνική Πρεσβεία στη Χάγη στις 13:00.

STATE NEGLIGENCE AND CAPITALISM KILL 57 PEOPLE IN GREECE
On Tuesday 28th of February, 2023, at least 57 people lost their lives in Tempi, Greece as a passenger train collided with a freight train, after running on the same track for 12 minutes prior to the crash.
While the greek state is trying to avoid responsibility, putting all the blame for this horrific accident on ‘human error’, the people know that this was nothing but a murder, a premeditated crime committed by state and capital.
For years, consecutive greek governments continuously degraded the country’s railway system, paving the way for the privatization of the national railway operator in 2017. In the process they ignored countless warnings made by trade unionists over the years, regarding the safety of the trains and related infrastructure.
The lack of staff, as well as the absence of a remote monitoring system is but one example of the criminal negligence of the greek state that continuously proves that it prioritizes profit over human lives.
In response to state negligence and all disorienting, false statements by politicians and media, the collective body (unions, political organizations, assemblies, citizens) resists by organizing massive demonstrations all over the country. The protests are once again met with police brutality of criminal levels, orchestrated by the government, and aimed at showing the violent disregard of our fundamental rights.
We demand justice. The greek government, OSE, and Hellenic Train should be held accountable for this crime!
Join us on Friday March 10 at Stationplein, Utrecht at 10:00 and on Saturday March 11 in front of the greek embassy in the Hague at 13:00.
